Well, what can we say! It’s been another fantastic trip over to Berlin for Innotrans 2018. Unfortunately, Chris couldn’t make it this year so it was left to Adam, Ben and one of our associates (Adam Stead) to undertake the (not at all) arduous trip!
As with previous years, the scale of the show is virtually unparalleled. If you haven’t attended before, the sheer volume of suppliers and products on display will quite simply blow you away; there are full scale trains, loco’s, railway engines, signalling systems, seat bays, and everything else you can imagine that’s railway related. To give an example of the scale of the show, Adam walked 14 miles on the first day and didn’t manage to make it around all of the stands!
As Innotrans is of such an intimidating size and some of our team were time-limited, we had to prioritise some meetings and supplier visits; but there was still time for Ben to attend a dinner with Chris Grayling (the secretary of state for transport), and for all of us to enjoy the beautiful sites that Berlin has to offer.
All in all, it was a fantastic trip to a brilliant conference and we’re looking forward to attending in 2 years’ time!
